28.12.2019 - Caeliber Isaf 353m (Marilyn).
Caeliber Isaf is just north of the A489 heading out of Newtown towards Churchstoke. There is a small lay-by at the start point and you walk along the road NE towards Gwern Y Go farm and turn left. Basically I had a pre arranged route to do this hike but on walking down the road we could see that there was a pheasant shoot going on and we were approached by the very young land owner of Perthybu farm. He was very charming and polite but basically advised us to keep out of the woods (my intended route) because 1. it was private and 2. we had a pretty evens chance of being shot! He told us however to go over his land to the summit as long as we used and closed the gates behind us. I must say his helpful accommodating attitude was very refreshing.
Basically then you cannot really follow my GPX track as it is virtually all on private land. Seeing as the landowner is very accommodating it might be an idea to just ask on arrival at the farm? There are two high points on the top so I made sure I went to both to make sure I got the true summit. There is nothing at either point except a field!
