Lake District Mountain Month October 2022.

A wet and windy month in the beautiful Lake District

Well that was a twenty four day trip to the Lake District done with fifteen solid hikes packed in between sky blue days or more often than not badly leaking storm clouds and high winds. All in all 85 summits and tops were taken in with 59 of them being Wainwrights (123/214 to date), the rest being either stand alone Nuttalls or belonging to some other hill category. A pretty hard 250 kilometres of hiking done with a total height gain of 14,000 meters. These are the best pictures of the trip taken on an iPhone 13 Pro. This an area that so justifies its UNESCO World Heritage Site status, just so so beautiful .
