1.5.2021 - Day 4 - Part 1.
Woolwell Road 162m, Plymouth (UK County/Unitary HP of Plymouth).
Anchor Links: Beacon Hill
Summary
I love peak bagging in the UK. It’s like an open air museum, there’s invariably a great summit, a trig point, a historic monument, a scene of a battle, a meeting place of kings, a place of execution or even a bench seat under some trees by a stone wall. However the unitary high point of Plymouth has surpassed it all. It’s in the middle of a roundabout outside Tesco’s in Roborough on the fringes of Plymouth. It’s a nice roundabout though ‘and’ it does have a tree. Don’t forget your crampons!
Parking: Tescos.
Route Summary: Leave car park walk up to the roundabout, cross over the island to the other side. Be prepared for inclement weather, falling rock and taxi drivers taking the piss. Don’t forget your ice axe!
Route Statistics: 62m, 0m height gain in 51 seconds flat (I pushed it!).

1.5.2021 - Day 4 - Part 2.
Beacon Hill 196m, Paignton (UK County/Unitary HP for Torbqy).
Summary
Well the excitement of Woolwell Road roundabout high point this morning at an altitude sapping 162m was easily matched this afternoon. Welcome to one of the most hidden, fenced off trig points I’ve ever seen. Beacon Hill high point is just outside Paignton on the busy B class Totness Road. There is parking for one vehicle at the gate of the mast. Jump over the gate and walk up the track to the mast, go past them and you will see a wire fence on the left. The TP is beyond the wire fence hidden in the undergrowth.
Parking: For one vehicle at the start point.
Route Summary: A track to the mast. No views and no access to the TP.
Route Statistics: 446m, 11m height gain done in 7m 20mins. A killer day!
